Hurricane Dorian Bahamas relief efforts
On September 1st, 2019 Hurricane Dorian hit the northern Bahamas with sustained winds of 185 mph and gusts of 220 mph leaving 50 persons dead and 1,300+ persons still missing.
JetSurf USA teamed up with JetSurf Academy Bahamas to help displaced children from the Abacos and Grand Bahama island to get new school uniforms, shoes, and backpacks so they can start over.
The current situation in the Bahamas
Hurricane Dorian unleashed total devastation on The Abacos leaving 90% of the island destroyed, while 40% of Grand Bahama was destroyed. As a result, 70,000 persons were left homeless, 10,000 of them being school-aged kids who had just begun the first week of school. These survivors have lost everything, their homes, cars, jobs, clothes, schools, churches, some have even lost family members and now they are faced with being relocated and starting over. Any help is greatly appreciated, and with 10% of all online revenues made at JetSurf online store, you and we would be lifting one less burden off so many families.
